The programme is open to all young people and those who work with them but will be targeted primarily at those who are socially excluded, disadvantaged or who would not normally get the opportunity to take part in projects of this nature.
It is intended that the programme
should be as flexible as possible to encourage a wide variety of contexts for exchange.
the following should therefore be interpreted as guidelines:
| Youth Exchanges | Exchange projects are expected to be reciprocal in nature. the travelling group must apply for a travel grant to the Causeway office in its own country, while the hosting group must apply for a hosting grant to the Causeway office in its own country. |
| Advance Planning Visits | The aim of these is to improve the quality of the exchange experience. They are intended to provide the opportunity to help prepare for an exchange or to solve problems about a forthcoming visit. |
| Special
Projects, Study Visits and Multiplier Activities |
These should be aimed at creating awareness, sharing expertise and practice, and lead to the development of youth exchanges and or other forms of exchange. |
